Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio/Visual Support Specialist to join our team at the University of Nebraska. The successful candidate will provide technical support for audio/visual systems in various learning spaces and non-academic areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 3 and front-line technical support for audio/visual systems, including equipment such as control systems, computer systems, audio/video switchers, audio amplifiers, and mixers, projectors, and displays.
  • Work with the Learning Spaces team to ensure the full operation of audio/visual systems in General Purpose classrooms.
  • Support the Learning Spaces support and build teams through all phases of the design, installation, and support of media-rich rooms.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in information technology and/or audio/visual support and design.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of audiovisual technologies, peripherals, computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Strong communication skills, both public speaking and written communication.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • CTS or CTS-I certification.
  • AMX programming experience.
  • D-Tools knowledge or similar.
