Position Title: Senior Service Center Coordinator

Company: General Dynamics

Role Overview:
The Senior Service Center Coordinator (SSCC) acts as the primary liaison between the customer and the service center, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout the service process. The SSCC is responsible for overseeing project management and customer interactions from the initial agreement through to the completion of services.

Essential Duties:
  1. Maintain ongoing communication with customers, both internal and external, to coordinate and provide updates on project status.
  2. Deliver consistent and formal communication to customers and management, ensuring a positive service experience.
  3. Oversee the management of work orders and invoices, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and accurate financial reporting.
  4. Plan and prepare for service visits, ensuring all necessary resources, including parts and engineering documentation, are available.
  5. Ensure compliance with proposals to identify opportunities for maximizing profit margins.
  6. Manage contract modifications through the work change request process to accurately reflect project impacts.
  7. Collect and organize final documentation to ensure all outstanding tasks are addressed.
  8. Collaborate with the program office to facilitate fleet retrofit initiatives.
  9. Request vendor services and monitor material costs to ensure accurate accounting.
  10. Negotiate warranty considerations and manage claims as necessary.
  11. Ensure all vendor service agreements are processed appropriately.
  12. Conduct inventory checks to return unused materials and assist in the timely return of replacement units.
  13. Oversee the post-service customer experience, including feedback collection and project assurance.
  14. Demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior staff and assisting in their professional development.

Additional Requirements:
  1. Possession of an A&P license with relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required; familiarity with project management software is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills are essential.
  4. Ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.
