Job Description

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Search Product team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for creating and managing cross-platform product and engineering roadmaps for core user acquisition experiences across Snapchat. You'll influence key decisions and tradeoffs on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage cross-platform product and engineering roadmaps for core user acquisition experiences across Snapchat
  • Influence key decisions and tradeoffs on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Closely collaborate with PMs to translate product requirements into technical designs, which are then turned into engineering roadmaps
  • Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders and be a strong technical mentor
Requirements
  • Experience working with Search infrastructure and retrieval systems
  • Strong product mindset
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and execute large, complex technical initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience working in software engineering
  • Experience with product development in the growth space

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
