Project Plumbing Engineer

Rex Engineering Group is seeking a skilled Plumbing Engineer/Designer to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team in our Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Productivity Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and knowledge of California Title 24, related energy programs, and plumbing codes and standards are required. Membership with ASPE is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform plumbing design responsibilities on multiple projects, including establishing design criteria and standards, conducting code research, and preparing calculations, reports, and project drawings and specifications.
  • Work independently on all design aspects of projects and collaborate with other disciplines to manage projects effectively.
  • Manage the production and delivery of design documents and provide mentoring and guidance for colleagues.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in design of plumbing systems, with mixed-use and high-rise design experience a plus.
  • AutoCAD and Revit design experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and other discipline documents.
  • Familiarity with fire suppression systems a plus.
Work Environment

Please note that our current office location is listed as Monterey Park on our website, but we are currently working 100% remotely. We are exploring new office locations in the central/north-central Los Angeles area and plan to return to the office in the future, offering a balance of working in the office and remotely.
