Donor Floor Lead

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. KEDPLASMA LLC. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Donor Floor Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our donor floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Review donor record files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with cGMP.
- Assist the management team in educating new donors on different specialty programs.
- Train and provide leadership to new/existing employees.
- Manage the inventory process on the floor, including maintaining inventory levels, stocking supplies and soft goods, and opening and closing lots for usage.
- Communicate with management regarding pertinent information regarding work areas.
- Identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement within operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area to ensure a clean and professional environment.
- Present professional demeanor and appearance to donors with self-introduction prior to phlebotomy.
- Perform donor identification, reviews of records, and arm/vein selection for phlebotomy (with use of appropriate gauge needles including removal and disposal) according to DCOPs.
- Perform Haemonetics PCS2 Autopheresis setup and programming with understanding of alarm signals during operation, shut down, and in the event of power failure.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures in accordance with DCOPs, including arm preparations, collection volumes, restarts, and cell loss procedures.
- Maintain equipment calibration, standardization, and cleaning schedules according to DCOPs.
- Perform test sample collection and identification, including NAT testing protocols.
- Perform prompt and competent response to donor complaints, reactions, or deferrals.
- Understand and perform proper DMS computer entry and comments for donor data and exceptions, and assist in other activities as required.
- Record any required documentation accurately and in compliance with Company DCOPs.
- Understand Company special donor programs, e.g., pre-existing antibodies and immunizations.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (in California, a Phlebotomy Certification is required).
- Ability to demonstrate accurate phlebotomies with large gauge needles.
- Available to work flexible and/or extended shifts.
- Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of computer equipment and software (DMS with training).
- Demonstrated accuracy in complete and concurrent documentation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and work flexible schedules.
- Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Be able to bend, stoop, or kneel.
- Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
