Key Responsibilities- Process and dispense medications in a timely and accurate manner
- Review and verify medication orders for completeness and appropriateness
- Conduct patient profile reviews prior to dispensing medications
- Identify and resolve basic order entry and prescribing problems
- Provide clinical and drug information to patients and healthcare professionals
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to facilitate patient discharge or readmission prevention
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy regulations, including USP 797 and 800
- Document and report findings to management
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an approved college of Pharmacy
- Registered as a licensed pharmacist or eligible for reciprocity in the State of Connecticut
- Ability to use computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Cerner
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
This is a full-time position that requires a medium to heavy level of physical effort. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and will be exposed to some occupational risk.
