Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective management of medications for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and dispense medications in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review and verify medication orders for completeness and appropriateness
  • Conduct patient profile reviews prior to dispensing medications
  • Identify and resolve basic order entry and prescribing problems
  • Provide clinical and drug information to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to facilitate patient discharge or readmission prevention
  • Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy regulations, including USP 797 and 800
  • Document and report findings to management
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an approved college of Pharmacy
  • Registered as a licensed pharmacist or eligible for reciprocity in the State of Connecticut
  • Ability to use computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Cerner
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires a medium to heavy level of physical effort. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and will be exposed to some occupational risk.
