Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Blood Services Coordinator/Delivery Driver to join our team at Innovative Blood Resources. This role will be responsible for ensuring adequate component inventory for internal and external customer needs, while also providing outstanding customer service and maintaining compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hospital Services:
    • Perform daily Hospital Service tasks, including consigning, shipping, packing, reconciliation, irradiation/modification, and other related duties.
  • Driving Functions:
    • Deliver hospital Transfusion Services blood component orders in a timely manner.
    • Perform whole blood pick-ups from Collections Van/Mobiles/Fixed sites.
    • Collect samples for Reference Lab, Donor Testing, and Nat Lab.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide daily interactions with hospital customers, ensuring correct orders and component shipments.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Maintain knowledge of departmental equipment operation to troubleshoot problem situations with the Maintenance department and equipment support services.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain:
    • Manage Hospital Services vehicles, department supplies, required forms, and reports.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of federal regulations and industry standards for the storage, labeling, distribution, and transport of blood components.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Physical: Ability to lift 50lbs and continuous movement in and out of vehicle.
  • Other: Ability to work well with others and independently, 2 years of driving and/or customer service experience, good driving record, good communication skills, ability to learn required computer functions and programs, displays a professional manner, ability to work well under pressure, and attention to detail.
