Position Summary:
The Delivery Driver role is an essential position within our logistics team, operating under the guidance of the Driver Supervisor. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to various locations.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from minimum wage to $22.00, with additional compensation opportunities based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all federal and state transportation safety regulations as mandated by the US Department of Transportation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
  • Efficiently load and unload merchandise at distribution centers and various store locations using appropriate equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transfers and sales, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.
  • Submit daily trip and fuel logs, and ensure all delivery paperwork is finalized, including payment collection from customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of six months of experience driving box trucks or a similar vehicle.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Familiarity with transportation regulations.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical issues.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Work Environment:
This position operates in warehouse and retail environments, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, and various materials.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). The role requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs. with assistance and to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
