FLIP Fiscal Coordinator Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented FLIP Fiscal Coordinator to join our team at the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the FLIP Peacekeepers Program, a critical initiative aimed at reducing firearm violence in high-risk neighborhoods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stipend Management: Oversee the stipend process for FLIP participants, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily sign-in sheets and weekly spreadsheets.
  • Grant Compliance: Collaborate with the VP of Operations & Strategic Partnerships to ensure grant deliverables are met and all financial requirements are fulfilled.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot unique situations related to the stipend process, such as lost cards or difficulties with activating cards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners to ensure seamless program operations.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and comfort using computer programs to track participant engagement.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, both verbally and in writing.
  • Teamwork: Ability to meet deadlines, collaborate as part of a team, and respond to supervisor direction and follow-up.
  • Confidentiality: Ability and commitment to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
  • Compassion: Possess a strong sense of compassion and patience for serving an underserved population.
