Position Summary:

Vaco is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive grasp of financial principles and practices, along with a background in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting management's strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and uphold precise financial reports and statements, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Document and evaluate financial transactions, ensuring correctness within the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial documents, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Facilitate the budgeting and forecasting processes by supplying relevant financial data and insights.
  • Oversee and reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable to guarantee accuracy and resolve any inconsistencies.
  • Conduct internal reviews to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect financial data and provide analytical insights for business strategies.
  • Support the preparation of financial information for audits and act as a point of contact with external auditors.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, policies, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Relevant experience (typically 2-5 years) in financial analysis or similar positions.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles (GAAP/IFRS) and regulations.
  • Proficient in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
