Position Overview:

Vaco is in search of a dedicated and detail-focused Financial Planning Analyst to become a vital part of our expanding finance department. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical capabilities and a robust comprehension of financial concepts to aid in achieving both operational and strategic goals. In this role, you will be tasked with evaluating financial information, generating reports, and delivering insights that facilitate informed decision-making throughout the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive financial evaluations, including variance assessments, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, offering insights into critical metrics and trends.
  • Create and sustain financial models to support strategic projects and business planning efforts.
  • Assist in the formulation of the annual budget and regular forecasting updates.
  • Track and assess financial performance against established targets, pinpointing areas for enhancement and proposing actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to collect data and comprehend operational factors influencing financial outcomes.
  • Support capital budgeting initiatives and conduct financial feasibility assessments for prospective investments and projects.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal guidelines.
  • Prepare presentations and dashboards for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Remain informed about industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience (typically 1-3 years) in financial analysis, budgeting, or similar roles.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced skills in Excel; familiarity with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to meet deadlines.
