About the Role

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of ED Shift Supervisor/Unit Coordinator RN in the Emergency Department. This is a full-time/mid shift role that requires 18 months of clinical nursing experience and a Bachelor's Degree.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department.
  • Lead safety and quality initiatives under the direction of the department manager.
  • Focus on and simplify workflow to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service.

About the Department

The Emergency Department at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a 53-bed unit that handles a variety of medical emergencies. The department is equipped to handle Trauma cases and has received the Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses' Association for exceptional and innovative leadership.
