Bus Transportation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our team at Hampton Roads Transit. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing the movement of public transit vehicles, supervising operators, and ensuring the efficient operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct the movement of public transit vehicles
- Supervise operators and ensure compliance with operating standards
- Monitor and maintain the on-time service performance of the fleet
- Respond to emergencies and resolve operating problems
- Provide on-street supervision and investigate accidents
- Ensure compliance with operating standards and resolve operating problems
Requirements:
- Five years of transit experience and/or equivalent experience required
- One year or equivalent experience in radio dispatching required
- Three years of experience in supervisory/management capacity required
- CDL Class B license and/or CDL permit required
Working Conditions:
This is a 24-hour per day/7-day per week operation. Hours do include holidays, weekends, and overnight shifts. Shifts may include up to 10 hours a day or longer during emergencies. Abnormal hours and/or split shifts may be required.
