The Finance & Accounting division plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining robust internal controls across our organization.

As a Lead Financial Accounting Specialist, you will be instrumental in overseeing key financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and enhancing our financial processes.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight: Maintain the integrity of financial reporting processes by ensuring all deadlines are met and control activities are executed as planned.

Technical Guidance: Provide expert accounting and internal controls advice to the team; engage with stakeholders on financial policies and reporting matters.

Reporting Management: Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements and year-end closing activities.

Portfolio Administration: Manage financial portfolios; prepare comprehensive reports and analyses.

Control Framework: Safeguard the integrity of financial systems and internal controls, ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Business Continuity: Lead and participate in continuity planning and testing for financial operations.

Project Management: Oversee project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources for financial initiatives.

Transformation Initiatives: Drive the transformation of financial functions and implementation of new systems.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with key departments to ensure alignment and support for financial objectives.

Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement innovative solutions.

Team Leadership: While this role does not have direct reports, it involves leading a team of professionals, providing direction, training, and performance feedback.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) and a degree in Finance or Accounting with significant relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Expertise in financial systems and internal controls.
- Knowledge of US GAAP or International Accounting Standards.
- Proven project management skills in complex environments.
- Ability to lead teams and foster collaboration.
