Job Title: Posting Clerk

Job Summary:

Town Nissan is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Posting Clerk to join our Accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring payments are appropriately recorded, and supporting the overall efficiency of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Data Entry: Post vehicle sales and purchases accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate financial records.
  • Transaction Processing: Process lender funding and dealer trade transactions in a timely manner, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain stock numbers for new and used vehicles, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Team Support: Assist and support other office positions as needed, demonstrating a team-focused approach and providing excellent customer service.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on all software training and maintain a professional appearance and neat work area, ensuring a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the team's goals and objectives, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and customers.
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak both English and Spanish, with a strong preference for bilingual candidates.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the automotive industry.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and provide excellent service to customers.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in clerical processing and Microsoft Office suite, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in data entry and financial software.
  • Availability: Ability to work a set schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed, with a strong preference for candidates with a flexible schedule.
  • Driver's License: Valid Washington State Driver's License or equivalent.
  • Clean Driving Record: Clean driving record, with a strong preference for candidates with a clean driving record.
  • Background Check: Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
