Student Support Specialist

About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Support Specialist to join our team at Aveanna. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will provide critical support to students with diverse needs and abilities, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and assistance to students with special needs, focusing on developing their academic, social, and emotional skills.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities, in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
- Assist students with activities of daily living, such as eating, brushing teeth, and hygiene, as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in education and related fields.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Possess a strong commitment to student-centered education and a passion for making a positive impact on young lives.
Compensation
- A competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience.
