Skilled Mechanic

Job Summary:
The Mechanic 1st Class is a critical role within UPS, responsible for the upkeep and repair of a wide range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty machinery, on-road tractors, and trailers sourced from various manufacturers.
As a skilled mechanic, you will specialize in diagnosing and fixing issues with hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronic systems, and engines. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles are maintained regularly and in a timely manner, meeting the high standards of UPS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair diesel and gas vehicles
- Operate standard and manual transmission
- Operate power and pneumatic tools
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained regularly and in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Class D driver's license preferred and willing to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs
- Availability to work flexible shifts, up to 5 days per week
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and occasionally outdoors
- Must possess the required hand tools to perform the applicable job assignment
- Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
