About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Surgery Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring optimum patient care, efficient operations, quality service, and sound financial management.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and lead nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
  • Facilitate daily interprofessional rounds to discuss patient care plans and address any concerns.
  • Continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts.
  • Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in an inpatient unit, with at least two years of combined work experience and leadership experience.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • National certification in a relevant specialty is preferred.
