About the Opportunity: The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Medicine invites applications for a Medical Director position in its exceptional multidisciplinary Heart Failure/Transplant Program. As a key member of our team, you will have opportunities for clinical practice, teaching, and research at a world-class university.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled cardiologist with expertise in heart failure and transplant cardiology to lead our program and contribute to the success of our patients and the academic community. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient attending services, engaging in clinical teaching and research, and pursuing clinical research in their area of interest.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care as an attending physician at UW Hospitals and Clinics locations in Madison and additional sites within the region.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows, including CME lectures.
  • Pursue clinical research endeavors, with opportunities for independent funding to continue or develop their research.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in heart failure and transplant cardiology, with a strong track record of clinical and research experience.
