About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Highway Design Engineer to lead highway design tasks on our most exciting projects in Ohio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing project specifications, designing highway facilities, and developing junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
  • Assist in the development of project specifications.
  • Responsible for development of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
  • Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
  • Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
  • Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
  • Performs quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
  • Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or eligible to obtain
  • Knowledge of Bentley Software (Microstation, ORD) and Autodesk
  • 5 years relevant experience in design and development of highway plans for ODOT
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $79,000 to $124,000, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
