Organizational Structure

Our team consists of remote-based Territory Underwriters who operate within the same geographical area as their assigned agencies. To support these underwriters, we have a Service Center that manages standard transactions for the renewal portfolio, assesses loss control surveys, and handles renewals under $25,000. The service center functions within a zone structure, operating in a pooled environment with various roles assigned based on task complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, underwrite, and authorize endorsement requests, including adding new coverage lines, cancellations, reinstatements, form-related inquiries, and adjusting property limits.
  • Responsible for reviewing renewals under $25,000 that meet specific criteria for specialized handling.
  • Take ownership of co-managing and prioritizing individual and team responsibilities to fulfill service standards and meet customer needs.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial multi-line underwriting.
  • Proficient understanding of standard lines coverages and the various lines of business we provide.
  • General knowledge of the specific nuances of the classes of businesses we insure.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, clear and effective.
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated, collaborative, and effective in a team setting.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Coverall 2015 and ImageRight is preferred but not mandatory.
