This position offers a chance to engage with a dynamic program within DCS Corp's engineering division, specifically focusing on the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Ground Vehicle Systems Center. As a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our U.S. Army client, leveraging your profound expertise to deliver technical engineering services that support the formulation of software requirements, architecture, design, coding, and testing for the Vehicle Electronics Architecture team dedicated to the advancement of Next-Generation Combat Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

Your role will encompass the development of modeling and design utilizing SYSML.

Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with systems and software development engineers, as well as our government clients.

You will provide direction in establishing new system/software architectures and assist in the design and development of software that aligns with project expectations.

Collaborate within a team environment to guide and contribute to concepts related to Vehicle Network and Data Architecture and Application Integration.

Demonstrated experience with both Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures is required.

Experience in Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methodologies to create new architectures is essential.

Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering practices such as SYSML, UML, DoDAF, and UPDM is necessary.

As a senior member of the team, your insights will play a crucial role in influencing program decisions.

Required Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of client-related requirements, U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Experience in developing embedded software for automotive, military, or industrial applications is essential.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics) along with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience is required.

Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance is necessary.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging issues, as well as mentoring junior developers, is expected.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 6 years of experience is preferred. Candidates with advanced degrees in similar fields will be given preference.

Extensive experience with Linux, including build toolchains, interfacing with third-party software, system utilities, and system maintenance is desirable.

Experience in software development following formal industry standards and guidelines is advantageous.

Ability to troubleshoot and debug using GDB and hardware debuggers is preferred.

Proficiency in scripting within Linux environments, such as Python and shell scripts, is beneficial.

Experience with software development and testing pipelines (CI/CD) and familiarity with development tools like Atlassian and Bitbucket is a plus.
