The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Alcohol and Other Drug Misuse Prevention Department as a Program Assistant. This role is integral to the Student Health and Wellness Center, focusing on enhancing student well-being through targeted health promotion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As a Program Assistant, your primary duties will include:
1. **Facilitating BASICS**: Conduct brief screenings and interventions for students regarding alcohol and other drug use, utilizing evidence-based protocols and motivational interviewing techniques.
2. **Training and Engagement**: Assist in the development and delivery of training sessions and programs aimed at educating students, faculty, and staff on substance misuse and related health topics.
3. **Communication Support**: Contribute to the creation of health-related communications, including social media content, newsletters, and educational materials.
4. **Continuous Learning**: Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives to enhance your skills in motivational interviewing and health promotion.
5. **Supervision Participation**: Engage in regular supervision sessions to discuss progress and strategies.
Additional Duties
Other responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with program evaluation through data collection and analysis.

Qualifications
