About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health Plan Consultant to join our team at Alvarez & Marsal Healthcare Industry Group, LLC. As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with health plan and managed care clients on a range of complex assignments, utilizing your expertise to drive results and add value based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial models to analyze health plan financial and operational drivers, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing solutions.
  • Conduct financial and operating analyses, drafting pro-forma financial statements and presenting findings to clients.
  • Lead various work streams within a project, managing day-to-day engagement priorities and collaborating with senior leaders.
  • Prepare client-ready deliverables and presentations, making presentations to clients and communicating complex information effectively.
  • Support marketing initiatives by assisting with pitch preparation and creating marketing materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, seeking to expand business and scope while ensuring diverse perspectives are included in business development endeavors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of prior work experience in healthcare, consulting, or the healthcare industry, with a focus on health plan finance, accounting, audit, managed care, or healthcare operations.
  • A BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or other related healthcare fields such as MHA or MPH.
  • Advanced level of Excel proficiency and experience in financial modeling, with the ability to build 13-week cash flow forecasts and three-statement models from scratch.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate with and present information to all levels of client personnel.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and escalate project issues to project managers or engagement leaders.
