About the Role

The Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning supports developing on strategies to achieve team or larger organization targets. The Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning has a focus on using data-driven approaches and partnering with teams to develop and implement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft recommendations using a data-driven approach combined with business acumen for senior executives to make pricing decisions that affect our growth and bottom-line.
  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Regional Leaders, Plan Design and Sales teams to develop a winning portfolio strategy for each Oscar market.
  • Identify and research profitability tradeoffs, market trends, and membership insights to help drive company-wide strategic decisions.
  • Support build models and tooling that produce actionable business insights, including membership scenario modeling.
  • Support development of activity-based financial models to support finance and business strategic initiatives.
  • Report intra-year membership analytics to leadership to understand health of the business.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or 4+ years commensurate experience.
  • 1+ years experience in consulting, corporate strategy, market development, finance, or a related field.
  • 1+ years experience in Excel and Powerpoint, demonstrating proficiency in building models and generating reports, analyzing large datasets, using pivot tables, formulas, and conditional formatting.
  • 1+ years Experience synthesizing and summarizing findings through data visualizations and effective storytelling.
  • 1+ years experience running data and financial analyses and working cross-functionally to drive opportunities and increase growth & profitability.
  • 1+ years experience in constructing presentation materials aimed at Senior Leadership.

Bonus Points:

  • Healthcare experience and an understanding of provider/payer market, particularly in the ACA marketplace, is strongly preferred.
  • Management consulting, market research, or data analysis experience.
  • Experience with Tableau.
