Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Relationship Banker to join our team at M&T Bank. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our business customers, identifying opportunities to grow their business, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their financial goals.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business customers' accounts, including cross-selling and upselling products and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with other branch team members to ensure seamless delivery of customer service and sales initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and a second language, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree or higher in a related field.
  • Notary public license.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services sales.
  • Bi-lingual based on branch needs.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Prolonged use of hands and fingers.
  • Ability to lift light to heavy objects weighing 5lbs to 30lbs.
  • Ability to read fine print.
  • Ability to interact with customers in an open face-to-face work environment.
