Position Overview:

Insight Global is looking for a skilled Geotechnical Project Engineer to take on a pivotal role in managing engineering projects. The selected candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management to align with clients' financial objectives and uphold quality benchmarks.
  • Authorize and validate technical documentation.
  • Anticipate project initiation, timelines, and profitability metrics.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to meet or surpass project expectations.
  • Draft proposals with comprehensive cost assessments.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout project execution.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
  • Support business development initiatives as required.
  • Monitor project expenditures to maintain budget compliance.
  • Facilitate invoicing processes to ensure timely payment for services rendered.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all reports prior to client submission for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform geotechnical and construction materials engineering tasks as necessary to fulfill client requirements.
  • Identify and pursue avenues for expanding geotechnical engineering services.
  • Conduct and evaluate geotechnical engineering analyses.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering; or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer license in Texas is mandatory.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to tackle complex engineering challenges.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues, management, and clients.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record and eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with standard geotechnical software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with projects related to TxDOT, municipalities, and city planning.
  • Knowledge of geological and soil conditions specific to Central and South-Central Texas.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $110,000 to $130,000.
