Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Southall Farm and Inn. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep, cleanliness, and smooth operation of our public space areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain Public Spaces: Conduct regular inspections of our public space areas to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Develop and Refine Maintenance Criteria: Collaborate with our facilities team to develop and refine detailed criteria and checklists for each public space area.
  • Coordinate with Departments: Work closely with multiple departments, including Housekeeping, Grounds Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Spa, and Banquets, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Lead and Train Staff: Supervise and train our facilities staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain Hotel Standards: Prioritize and organize work assignments, direct staff performance, and follow up with corrections where needed to maintain our hotel's high standards.
  • Expertise in Facilities and Grounds: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our facilities and grounds layouts, configurations, cleanliness expectations, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Three to five years of experience in hotel/resort and large facility housekeeping maintenance is strongly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise, and professional manner in both verbal and written form.
  • Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers, and leadership to their understanding.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision. Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
  • Availability: Available to work weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
