Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, oversee, and maintain the facility's audio-visual, environmental control, emergency power, electrical, HVAC, and lighting systems to guarantee safe and efficient functionality.
  • Conduct repairs and refurbishments on equipment such as motors, compressors, and ice machines.
  • Adhere to the preventive maintenance schedule, energy management strategies, and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment.
  • Perform maintenance tasks including painting, wall repairs, patching, re-lamping, and replacing ceiling tiles, filters, and belts as necessary.
  • Document and log all work performed, complete work order forms, and compile required reports in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other divisions within the Operations Department to facilitate event transitions as needed.
  • Foster a safe working environment by following life safety and emergency protocols.
  • Analyze performance charts and control panels to assess system efficiency.
  • Occasionally enter areas where hazardous materials may be present.
  • Respond to routine, precautionary, and emergency alarms from building automation and life safety systems.
  • Be prepared to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. with three (3) years of full-time experience in facility operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of technical support school or advanced courses in electrical or refrigeration is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the methods, principles, and practices necessary for the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, and technical requirements for various events.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical wiring, and ventilation systems to assist HVAC and Electrical technicians as needed.
  • Basic understanding of door hardware, locks, and related components.
  • Possession of any necessary licenses or certifications required by local, state, or national authorities for equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and related materials.
  • Adherence to safety precautions, building codes, and emergency procedures.
  • Capability to meet the physical demands of the job, including mobility, lifting, and working in various environments.
  • Proficiency in operating light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other light power-driven equipment.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements of this position include regular movement around the facility, standing for extended periods, and the ability to work in various conditions as needed.
