Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Funeral Services Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our funeral home staff, you will provide exceptional support to our families and associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for services, including delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos, and personal keepsakes.
  • Assist with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting deceased, or operating the crematory, as permitted by law and in keeping with company regulations.
  • Perform office duties, such as answering phones, operating fax machines, computers, and other equipment.
  • Run errands, such as floral delivery, picking up supplies, and documents.
  • Serve as an usher and may park cars or perform transportation requirements.
  • Drive Funeral Home vehicles for services and picking up families.
  • Ensure refreshments are available, where allowed by law.
  • Assist with visitations, memorial, and funeral services, including visitation and chapel setup, dressing and casketing remains, delivering family items and flowers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.
  • Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
