Job DescriptionThe Emory Winship Cancer Institute NP/PA Fellowship Program is a one-year program designed to prepare fellows in the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of complex and challenging patients in medical oncology and hematology, bone marrow transplant, and radiation oncology.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the care of oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Rotate through sub-specialized clinics to cultivate knowledge of specific oncology diseases
- Participate in services such as palliative care, survivorship, integrative medicine, and clinical trials
- Completion of an accredited PA or NP master's program prior to the start of the fellowship program
- National board certification as a PA or NP
- Eligibility for licensure as a PA or NP in Georgia
- Eligibility for DEA license
- BLS, ACLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required
The work environment may involve exposure to blood-borne pathogens, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals, gases, fumes, vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting, patient care/handling injuries, radiation, shift work, and travel may be required.
Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, may be necessary.
