The Human Resources Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resource Department. This position is based in Anchorage, Alaska, with a hybrid schedule available (M/T/TH in office, W/F remote) after the initial onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with recruiting and hiring activities, including job posting, sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, and coordinating pre-employment screens.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Performs timely data entry into the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Provides administrative support to the HR department, including answering frequently asked questions and referring complex inquiries to senior-level HR staff or management.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events, such as hiring events, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior administrative or office experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
