About the Job
This role involves performing planned preventive maintenance, calibrations, and electrical safety inspections on imaging and related equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for major repairs, assisting with diagnostic imaging cross-training of BMET technicians, and providing emergency on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance tasks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conducting thorough investigations to diagnose and repair complex technical issues related to imaging equipment.
- Providing training and guidance to junior technicians on best practices and procedures for maintaining and repairing imaging equipment.
- Collaborating with manufacturers' representatives and other stakeholders to resolve equipment-related problems.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess relevant technical certifications, such as CRES (Certified Radiological Engineer), or equivalent experience in biomedical engineering or a related field. A strong understanding of various imaging modalities, including radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound, is also essential.
