Position Overview:

VTG is in search of a Senior Vice President of Operational Strategy to enhance and drive the evolution of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and sustain relationships with clients, potential clients, industry influencers, and partners. Identify or suggest new business avenues.
  • Oversee multiple IDIQ contracts and formulate effective strategies for securing task orders.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of C4ISR Maintenance initiatives.
  • Analyze and comprehend client needs to uncover resulting business prospects.
  • Assist in the proposal creation process while ensuring adherence to timelines for proposal teams.
  • Draft proposals through collaborative efforts with internal teams.
  • Support the upkeep of Business Development databases and communicate activities through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Supervise the execution of all projects within the division, ensuring compliance with budgetary, scheduling, scope, and quality benchmarks.
  • Contribute to internal metrics and forecasting efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven capability in managing IDIQ contracts and successfully winning Task Orders.
  • Previous experience with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, or other relevant military or governmental roles is highly desirable.
  • Current connections and experience within the DoD C5ISR sector, including NAVWAR, PEO C4I, NIWC Pacific and Atlantic, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, and/or U.S. Naval Shipyards are strongly preferred.
  • Must be located in the Eastern U.S. and possess a network of relevant contacts within the local defense sector, although the ability to cultivate new contacts and opportunities will also be considered.
  • Willingness and capability to obtain a high-level security clearance; an active TS+ security clearance is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of direct experience with DOD C4ISR or similar programs/projects, including eight (8) years in design, development, implementation, and evaluation of C4ISR software maintenance programs. Experience should include supervising project teams, scheduling work, drafting proposals, and managing equipment and material logistics.
  • Experience in DoD C4ISR maintenance, logistics, or business systems is preferred, but other relevant industry experience supporting complex solutions may be considered. The individual should possess knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DoD procurement policies, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills appropriate for this leadership role.
