Job Summary

Acuity International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Travel Chaperone to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of unaccompanied minors and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of drivers and travel chaperones to ensure seamless transportation operations.
  • Report to the site lead of your regional office and provide regular updates on transportation activities.
  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Command Center to monitor transportation routes and respond to any disruptions or concerns.
  • Assist with the transition and movement of children from one activity to another, including during domestic and international flights.
  • Prepare meals and snacks for children and families as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of children and shelter operations at all times.
  • Provide clean and appropriate clothing for children based on weather conditions at destination locations.
Requirements
  • High School or GED with 2+ years of experience in transporting children.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience organizing workflow, staff schedules, and appointments.
  • Available for domestic travel 100% of the time, with potential for international travel.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to navigate airport environments and coordinate with airline customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and common office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with special needs children.
  • Valid U.S. passport.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to withstand changing environmental conditions.
  • Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
  • Must be able to stay awake/alert and respond to dynamic supervision situations.
