Highway Maintenance Specialist, Traffic Management

Job SummaryThis is a critical role that requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service. As a Highway Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, including installing pavement markings, repairing guardrail and signs, plowing snow, and operating heavy equipment. You will work in a team environment, responding to emergencies and working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Install pavement markings and repair guardrail and signs
- Plow snow and operate heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing grass and weeds, and removing debris from roadways
- Operate a variety of equipment, including tandem dump trucks, front-end loaders, and backhoes
- Work in a team environment, responding to emergencies and working in a fast-paced environment
- Must have at least two years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience
- Must possess a current, valid regular driver's license
- Must obtain a CDL Permit within 30 days of hire and a valid Commercial Driver's License Class A or B within 120 days of hire
- Must pass a pre-employment screening, including a social security number trace, criminal records check, and driving records check
