- Conduct home visits to address attendance concerns
- Communicate effectively with families and students regarding truancy issues
- Engage with students and families facing barriers to attendance and implement corrective measures
- Monitor attendance records and identify trends in absenteeism
- Ensure adherence to state and local attendance laws, including legal actions when necessary
- Develop and execute intervention strategies to assist frequently absent students, collaborating with educators and support staff
- Work with school personnel, families, community organizations, and law enforcement to tackle truancy challenges
- Maintain comprehensive records of interventions and outcomes related to truancy
- Educate students, families, and the community on the significance of regular school attendance and the implications of truancy
- Promote preventive initiatives such as attendance incentives and mentoring programs
- Utilize school security software to ensure student safety and address behavioral issues
- Act as a liaison between the school and community support agencies
- Assist in managing attendance committee meetings and referrals to school support services
- Communicate with families regarding students with multiple absences
- Support the Student Assistance Program (SAP) for students in need
- Contribute to the implementation and management of ProjectGo
- Assist families experiencing homelessness through available resources
- Participate in professional development workshops focused on school climate and behavior improvement
- Obtain necessary certifications as required
- Assist the attendance team with various duties as needed
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by school administration.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing job duties
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms, with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to hear clearly and communicate effectively
- Occasional walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing stairs
- Occasional standing for prolonged periods
- Ability to see and perform visual tasks such as reading and writing
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to be present on-site as required.
