Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Therapist provides specialized knowledge and skills to perform psychiatric and mental health evaluations and assessments. This role guides the work distribution of non-licensed mental health staff assigned to their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral health services, including talk therapy, to individuals with a range of mental health symptoms and associated functional impairment concerns.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to evaluate patients' mental health and develop individual treatment plans based on their needs.
  • Collaborate with staff to manage patient care and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of mental health care management, principles, and implications of standards for quality of care, quality measurement, monitoring, and related features of today's healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey professional demeanor and sound judgment in dealing with patients' care, protection of patient privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives, with a high level of professional and personal integrity.
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related Behavioral Health Field, with acceptable licenses including LCSW, LISW, LIMHP, PhD, PsyD.
Working Conditions

This role operates in a healthcare setting, requiring frequent sitting and computer work. The employee must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds occasionally, with the ability to bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level occasionally and twist occasionally.
