Job Description

As a Maintenance Lead, you will provide leadership and direct supervision of maintenance crews while performing daily work activities of maintaining contracted assets. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, servicing, and repairing roads and other infrastructure assets, as well as training, directing, and coordinating the work of crews to perform maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and direct maintenance crews to perform maintenance activities based on local work plans.
  • Assist in making recommendations for employee performance, coaching, rewards, and disciplining employees.
  • Direct and coordinate local emergency response and respond to road closures or incidents.
  • Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setting up and removing traffic control devices.
  • Perform basic maintenance and repair of structures and equipment rooms, including portals, railings, expansion joints, doors, and painting.
  • Repair and maintain functionality of roadway catch basins, sumps, and pumps, fire hydrants, and other mechanical assets.
  • Repair and maintain basic electrical systems, including emergency telephones, CCTV systems, electronic traffic signs, call boxes, lane signals, and lighting.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites, operating large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
  • Be available for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of work experience in infrastructure, maintenance, and repair.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • CDL, DOT certifications, Electrical and Welding Certifications (highly desirable).
Work Environment

The employee is regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
