A Community of Friends is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supportive Housing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to tenants, coordinating services, and ensuring the overall well-being of our supportive housing community.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of social services, and the ability to work effectively with tenants, staff, and external partners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support to tenants, including counseling, referrals, and advocacy
  • Coordinate services with internal and external agencies, including medical, mental health, and employment services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and service providers
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to promote tenant participation and retention
  • Collaborate with case managers and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support services
  • Assist with move-in and move-out processes, including preparing and distributing welcome packets and conducting tours
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, BA degree or two years' experience in social services or a related field
  • Minimum two years of experience working in supportive housing or a related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • General knowledge of property management software (RealPage, etc.)
  • Ability to develop and implement effective service plans and outcomes-based reporting
  • Skills in conflict resolution, mediation, and crisis intervention
  • Professional and positive attitude towards residents, staff, vendors, and other organizations
  • Required to live on-site (for buildings with 16 or more units)
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds

Estimated Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per annum
