Job Summary:Spirit AeroSystems is seeking a highly skilled Aerostructures Configuration Manager to join our team. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, processes, and procedures for control of product configuration information and baseline product and program configuration information.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and document configuration management plans, including technical and management processes, for unique program/product requirements in accordance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Verify that product configuration, subcontract deliverables, and prime contract deliverables are in compliance with applicable requirements.
- Review and coordinate with other disciplines, customers, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors to monitor compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Apply knowledge of external standard development organizations and the company's internal governance structures, policies, and procedures.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience with a BA/BS degree or 2-4 years of relevant experience with a MA degree.
- 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with CATIA, Enovia, 3DExperience, and SAP.
- 2-4 years of configuration management and control within a manufacturing environment, including derivative product definition data.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Auditing or working within an audit team to confirm compliance with documented procedures.
- Leadership experience/ability to effectively drive results from start to finish in a dynamic environment.
- Great attitude and willingness to learn.
- Customer interface and cross-functional project management.
