We are currently seeking a Chemical Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for overseeing daily production tasks, unloading raw materials, and maintaining accurate documentation, all while ensuring a safe working environment.
- This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Hourly wage ranges from $20 to $21, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the transfer of products into and out of containers using pumps and hoses.
- Interpret detailed documentation regarding chemical quantities and blending processes.
- Collect product samples for quality assurance testing.
- Ensure proper labeling of containers according to specifications.
- Oversee the inspection, labeling, storage, and preparation of products for shipment.
- Stage, load, and unload various containers, including pails, drums, and totes.
- Operate forklifts as necessary.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Lift and/or move items weighing up to 55 lbs.
- Participate in cross-training for various roles, including shipping/receiving, bulk product handling, inventory management, chemical packaging, and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A strong commitment to safety practices.
- Forklift certification (training will be provided).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with team members and management.
