Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Enchantment Group Management Company LLC. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs within the general trade skill areas, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to and attend to guest room repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with guests and staff to resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
- Request, acquire, and maintain inventory, parts, and supplies as needed to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
- Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, filter replacement, and other tasks as assigned.
- Thoroughly clean up painting and/or repair areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work to ensure safety.
- Use engineering computer programs related to maintenance work to track and document tasks.
- Perform light-level troubleshooting of resort Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain shop areas, spare parts areas, storage areas, and inventories of materials, equipment, and associated parts of the trade.
- Repair, install, adjust, and perform preventive/predictive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Install and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs to maintain a safe and well-lit environment.
- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other engineers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
- Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment, including walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Fabricate and repair furniture and fixtures to maintain a safe and functional environment.
- Perform and maintain work to local, state, and Federal codes to ensure compliance.
- Repair and finish sheet rock to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Repair all types of wall coverings to maintain a safe and functional environment.
- Communicate with the engineering supervisor on projects as assigned to ensure timely completion.
- Respond to all customer requests in a timely and professional manner to maintain a positive guest experience.
- Adhere to quality expectations and standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees and guests.
- Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds, to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts to maintain optimal performance.
- Operate various equipment, maintain domestic hot and cold water systems, and observe various electrical switchgear to ensure proper operation.
- High school education or equivalent work experience.
- Skills in most of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.
- Prefer some experience in hotel/motel, high-rise building, or construction.
- Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease.
