Role Summary:
In a fast-paced, project-oriented environment, the Senior Analyst of Strategic Financial Planning will play a pivotal role in steering Aldi's strategic objectives on both domestic and international fronts. Key Responsibilities:
• Exhibit strong leadership visibility by effectively communicating updates, challenges, and outcomes of assigned tasks to management in a timely manner.
• Assess current operational procedures and propose enhancements and best practices.
• Provide recommendations for improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Alert management to recurring challenges or when additional training for the team may be necessary.
• Conduct analyses that support the formulation and execution of long-term business strategies, investment plans, and financial models aligned with Aldi's strategic goals, delivering precise and timely results to project leaders and senior management, thereby influencing decision-making processes.
• Independently create, lead, and document financial models and plans for significant strategic initiatives, ensuring they are thorough, innovative, and in line with Aldi's growth and profitability objectives.
• Execute comprehensive financial modeling and sensitivity analyses, including long-term business plans, investment evaluations, cost-benefit assessments, and other financial frameworks, utilizing market and industry research, data analysis, and sound judgment to develop and validate assumptions.
• Assist leadership in conceptualizing advanced financial planning and analysis tools and methodologies, providing valuable quantitative and qualitative insights focused on growth, profitability, and optimizing returns on investment to enhance decision-making.
• Manage multiple projects with urgency and prioritize effectively to ensure timely completion of deliverables and adherence to critical deadlines.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of data and reporting requirements.
• Support leadership in ensuring compliance with established operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and maintained to facilitate future audits or information requests.
• Assist leadership with project management responsibilities and communicate project statuses to all stakeholders.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in strategic financial planning, offering guidance and mentorship to team members, suggesting improvements as needed, and fostering professional development and growth.
• Aid in training and developing team members to cultivate a motivated and professional workforce.
• Collaborate with team members and relay pertinent information to leadership.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP, BPC, Analysis for Office, Alteryx, and Tableau preferred.
• Experience in developing long-range financial models based on financial analysis strategies, including discounted cash flows, NPV, IRR, and payback period required.

Physical Requirements:
• Work may be performed in an office or remote setting, utilizing a computer and office equipment as needed.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move between areas.
• Frequent use of keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift, and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:
• International and domestic travel may be required, up to 10%.
