Merchandise Associate, Part-Time, Scarborough Maine

As a Merchandise Associate at Marshalls, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers, embodying our customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Role modeling established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
- Supporting and embodying a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
- Accurately ringing customer purchases/returns and counting change back to customers according to established operating procedures
- Promoting credit and loyalty programs
- Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and following established merchandising procedures and standards
- Accurately processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
- Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed throughout the day
- Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participating in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
- Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback
- Adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
- Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
- Participating in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment

- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
- Works effectively with peers and supervisors
- Retail customer experience preferred

This position has a starting pay range of $17.00 to $17.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
