Job Summary:

MaineHealth is seeking a skilled LPN to join our Cardiology team in Scarborough. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborating with registered nurses, medical assistants, and providers to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Requirements:

  • Diploma from an approved practical nursing program
  • Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure
  • Two years of LPN experience preferred
  • Current BLS required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions
  • Understanding of documentation standards
  • Knowledge of infectious disease management and control safety standards
  • Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug dosages
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and diverse patient populations
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of the electronic medical record
