Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Access Representative to join our team at Mercy. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and service from the moment they enter our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the patient's entrance into our facilities, including scheduling, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification, and financial clearance.
  • Collect and verify patient data, ensuring accuracy and completeness in the patient record.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and federal, state, and accreditation agency requirements.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of clerical experience and customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
  • High School diploma required; some college helpful.
