About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Yard Associate. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the efficient stationing and retrieval of equipment on our location's property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Station and retrieve equipment on the location's property in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a written maintenance schedule to ensure equipment meets all set specifications.
  • Service equipment as necessary to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Inspect equipment prior to and after rental to document any lost or damaged equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
  • Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred.

Desirable Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral).
  • Ability to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc).
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Safety-focus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

Physical Demands

  • Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more.
  • Working indoors and outdoors as required by the job.
