Job Summary

The Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse is a key member of our perioperative services team, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical center environment.

As a Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and support the mission, vision, and values of USPI.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care using the nursing process, medical plan of care, and organizational policies.
  • Support in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state and a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU and current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient, as well as understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed and be an excellent team player with the ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians.
