We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Preoperative Care Specialist at Surgery Care Affiliates. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Assess and Prepare Patients for Surgery: Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to identify potential risks and develop individualized plans of care.
- Provide Comprehensive Care: Implement evidence-based practices to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Manage Patient Flow and Prioritize Tasks: Effectively manage patient flow, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Document Patient Information and Outcomes: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including medical history, allergies, and treatment plans.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of best practices.
- Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience: One year of ICU, ED, PACU, and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 90 days of employment, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
- Competitive Compensation: USD $28.03/Hr. USD $40.00/Hr.
